What is "HMHdesign"? What does HMH stand for?
HMH Design came to be after many years of side-job website projects while running a construction company with residential remodeling and new construction projects by day between 1999 and 2010. As years passed and technology advanced, the cutting edge technology available was used in developing the construction company's website (and others). No longer were there meetings running all over the area with various subcontractors to review blueprints in requests for proposal. The website was used instead to not only offer project blueprints for review by subcontractors but also on-site pictures from original walk-through, marked up with notation regarding the areas in which changes will take place and more specific notes.
The number of side-job website projects continued to grow, new technologies led to better and more interactive websites, and the dreams of leaving construction for full time website development became clearer. As custom websites were built for affiliates, associates, and friends, the idea of "hanging the hammer" for good was more than a dream. In fact, it became a goal to leave construction and move to web design full time. After earning a Bachelor's degree in information technology (specializing in web development), the construction business was closed and web development began full time, hence the HMH (hang my hammer) Design idea went from a dream to a reality.
